Frequently Asked Questions
-
I offer birth doula support, postpartum doula support, and birth & postpartum planning. My goal is to provide personalized, judgment-free support so you feel informed, prepared, and cared for throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.
-
You can hire a doula at any point during pregnancy! Many families choose to book during their second or early third trimester, but it’s never too early to reach out. Availability is limited around each due date, so reaching out sooner gives us more time to prepare together.
-
As your birth doula, I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout labor. This may include comfort measures, position changes, breathing techniques, encouragement, helping you understand your options, supporting your partner, and helping create a calm and supportive birth environment.
-
Not at all! My role is to support both of you. I can help your partner feel more confident and involved by suggesting comfort techniques, positions, ways to advocate for you, and when you may need additional support.
-
Absolutely. Doula support isn't only for unmedicated births. I can help with positioning, comfort, communication, emotional support, and keeping you involved in your birth experience before and after an epidural.
-
Yes. Whether your C-section is planned or unexpected, I can help you prepare, understand your preferences and options, provide emotional support, and help you navigate the transition into postpartum.
-
I won't make medical decisions or speak on your behalf, but I can help you understand your options, organize your thoughts, and feel confident asking questions and communicating your wishes with your care team.
